In the evening, you may choose to have a massage treat or take a visit to the local community of the Batwa pygmies, to have the opportunity of interacting with the forest inhabitants. You will relish the night in Bwindi, knowing you’ve touched the depths of the wild.

After a sumptuous breakfast, you will be transferred by road to Entebbe International Airport to catch your flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport. After arriving in Arusha in the afternoon, you will transfer to your Arusha Serena Hotel for dinner and overnight sleep.

Alternatively, you may catch an early morning scheduled flight from Kisoro to Entebbe International Airport. On arrival, you will check-in at your day hotel to freshen up and relax as you wait to catch your flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport in the afternoon.

After a sumptuous breakfast at the Arusha Serena Hotel, you will return to Arusha to catch a scheduled flight to the Manyara Airstrip and a road transfer to the simple but comfortable Ngorongoro Crater Camp, set in a shady forest close to the crater rim itself. This intimate tented camp provides easy access into the crater as you brace yourself for an exhilarating encounter on the crater floor followed by a full day excursion the next day.

This steep-sided crater, also the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera is home to the densest concentration of mammalian species in Africa such as herds of wildebeest being the most abundant, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, rhinos, and giant African elephants. This crater rim has built its reputation on unrivaled big 5 animals sighting in Africa.

Another big draw card to this picturesque wildlife habitat is its dense population of predators such as lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. After an exciting dose of awe, you will return to your classic tented suite and enjoy the private bathroom with a hot-water bucket shower, as well as home-cooked meals served under the stars.

On this day, a charter flight from the Manyara Airstrip to the Serengeti will allow you time to check into your new camp and settle before embarking on your adventures.

Kichakani Serengeti Camp is ideal and specializes in wildebeest migration. The camp moves easily between three different locations to ensure guests enjoy grandstand views of the action, whether it is the massed herds on the move, the spectacular birthing season, or the raw drama of the river crossings.

The Serengeti unravels its multiple casts of Africa’s big games on game drives. You will sight an abundance of plains game and, of course, predators ranging from big cats and wild dogs to hyenas and crocodiles.

Morning and afternoon game drives with expert guides offers you the opportunity to be in the heart of animal drama. Your tented suite features electric lighting, an en suite bathroom, and a private viewing balcony complete with easy chairs and a table so you can take breath-taking views of the unfettered Serengeti.

Your journey to Masai Mara in Kenya involves a road transfer and short flight but it won’t be long before you arrive and check into Rekero Camp in Masai Mara. You will take a short 30-minute flight from Serengeti to Tarime, a small airport near the Kenyan border, where you will be met by your driver guide and driven to Isibania – only another 30-minutes or so away.

Here, the border crossing is simple and hassle-free. Once again, you’ll be met by your Kenyan driver guide and transferred to Migori, another small airport, for your onward flight into Masai Mara. This drive is again around 30 minutes, and your flight will be anywhere from one to two hours, depending on your final destination within the reserve.

Rekero Camp sits close to the confluence of the Mara and Talek rivers, in one of the most game-rich areas of the Masai Mara. It is a deceptively simple eco-camp that is ideally situated for the annual Wildebeest Migration and is your next destination.

This mobile camp is set up seasonally, from June to October and December to March. The camp features nine spacious tents, each en-suite with flush toilets and showers. Each tent also has a private terrace with a daybed that invites you to have a quiet siesta after a morning or afternoon of adrenaline-inducing game viewing. Each also has its own personal butler to attend to your needs.

Immerse yourself in the wonders of the Maasai Mara through a range of activities. Early mornings and late afternoons are considered the best times to sight animals since it is their most active time. Game drives with expert guides offer the chance to witness the incredible wildlife that roams the vast savannah plains.

You will enjoy views of the Big Five and episodes of the annual wildebeest migration depending on which time of year you visit. Hot air balloon rides present a unique perspective on the landscape and wildlife, while guided walks with Maasai warriors offer a glimpse into the local culture and their way of life.

At the end of your gorilla trekking and wildebeest migration safari, you will enjoy breakfast and an early morning game drive before transferring to Nairobi for your onward flight arrangements back home.
