Maasai Mara is an area of preserved savannah wilderness along the Tanzanian border in the Great Rift Valley, with wildlife being most concentrated on the reserve’s western escarpment. The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills and is crossed by the Mara and Talek rivers. It’s regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas. The area nearby is dotted with villages (“enkangs”) of Masai people, who boast a very rich culture and heritage.

Morning and afternoon game drives will be complemented with picnics and sundowners. A Mara balloon safari flight (optional) over the plains offers spectacular views of a mesmerizing world of lush wildlife, thronged grasslands, meandering rivers, and scattered acacias.

Take the Kenya Wildlife and Beach Family Holiday to the Mara during the great migration period (between July and October) and have a chance to catch sight of wildebeest and zebras traversing the Mara plains—a world-renowned wildlife spectacle.
