3 Days Murchison Falls National Park Safari Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.

Wake up to a sumptuous breakfast and meet your safari guide who will pick you up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe. He will brief you about the 3 Days Murchison Falls National Park Safari and then embark on a scenic road trip to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking.

Enjoy the scenic views of the countryside as you pass through farms and trading centres – you can buy some fruits on your way. After tracking the endangered white rhinos, you will have lunch en route and then proceed to Murchison Falls NP via Karuma Bridge in the late afternoon. You will have a short game drive, hike to the top of the falls as you continue to your reserved lodge.

You can check in at Fort Murchison (mid-range accommodation), just outside the park boundaries. Spend the night here with a cool drink while enjoying breath-taking views of the Nile River. The evening comes with all the noise of an African night.

Day 2: Wildlife Experience in Murchison Falls NP

Start the day with a sumptuous early breakfast at 7:00 a.m. and then, embark on an exciting boat cruise on the Nile delta to the bottom of the waterfalls.

You will enjoy excellent views of the powerful waterfall that passes through a narrow gorge about 8 metres wide, plunging 45 metres over the remnant rift valley wall. The result is the thunderous roar of water gushing and a rainbow in the mist. You will see a variety of aquatic animals such as hippos, Nile crocodiles, among others, and over 200 bird species like kingfishers, shoebill storks, and many more.

In the afternoon, you will cross the Nile delta for an intense game drive in the northern sector for possible animal sightings. You will view the great expanse of savannah grassland and other mammals like the great Rothschild’s giraffe, warthogs, antelopes, lions, hyenas, and primates. After your day’s activities, you will retire to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and a great African night.

Day 3: Ride back to Entebbe

Wake up to a sumptuous breakfast and embark on your last game drive to crown your 3 Days Murchison Falls National Park safari. After that, return to the lodge, pack up your baggage and check out. Your driver guide will start your return trip via Masindi for lunch and continue to Kampala or Entebbe. You will arrive at your hotel or airport late in the evening.
